Judicial Endorsements

The Houston Association of Women Attorneys is a non-partisan legal organization made up of Houston lawyers, judges, and law students.

 

Our Judicial Screening Committee invites every judicial candidate who is in a contested race to screen for endorsement by AWA. The screening process requires each candidate to respond to a written questionnaire and then interview with the Committee. The Committee’s recommendations are then voted on by the entirety of the organization. The Committee spends over 100 hours interviewing and discussing the candidates and AWA prides itself on the quality of its judicial endorsements.
